Trip to Mysore - Brindavan Gardens, KRS DAM (Krishna Raja Sahar Dam)

Sunday Nov 12 2006- 12:45 P.M to 1:20 P.M Travel to Mysore - 1:20 P.M to 3:00 P.M Graha Pravesam

Sunday Nov 12 2006- 4:40 P.M Brindavan Gardens:
After a tough journey along the mysore road towards Krishna Raja Sagar DAM, we reached the Brindavan Gardens. A spectacular garden constructed by Vishvesharaya during early 20th century.
Tall Man @ Brindavan Gardens:
We gathered as a group and took a snap with a tall man standing at entrance. He charges per click 10 rupees. U see he can stretch his hands beyond boundaries. The Brindavan Gardens was awesome with various types of trees. The intresting thing is, there is a step down fountain which is constructed in descending order. By natural gravitational force water flows from top to bottom. A must to see place.
Krishna Raja Sagar DAM Cauvery River:

The Krishna Raja Sagar Dam was ultimate bench mark for team effort and engineering of our indians. The dam is 120 feet tall with a massive outstrech of close to 1/2 a kilometer wide. Behind it lies the great River Cauvery. Which appears like Sea. U see me, Thiru and couple of his friends over here.

Solo Image:
As a age old custom, I requested thiru's friend Ameen to shoot a snap of me. Me alone. With Cauvery as Backdrop. It was intresting to note that, due to security reasons, only 10 feet wide gap is allowed as visitors area in DAM. Rest is locked up.

The night we had a light fountain show @ brindavan gardens and packed off our luggages back to home. After some break for dinner (myself and thiru had some bhel poori and corn) and buttermilk, we reached Bangalore @ late night 1:00 A.M doing the cab service for all the folks in the van.

Trip to Mysore - RanganaThittu Explored

Sunday Nov 12 2006 9:00 A.M - RanganaThittu - The Bird Sanctuary:
The Travel from Mysore Highway broke its course to a bird sanctuary called RanganaThittu. Rangana - Variety of Colors; Thittu - A small Island. We entered the sanctuary by paying 250 rupees in a whole against 350 rupees (in white per head 25 rupees) for 15 people. The RanganaThittu was a beautiful spot in the mind of people.
The group of people in Boat:

Myself in red tshirt, with Thiru looking back (Man with Blue Cap and Blue jean.) Left to Thiru is Ambedkar staring at the lake. This lake tour costs 40 bugs and it shows you across the small island for 20 minutes. We saw lot of cross continental birds. A very worthy place to see. To remember the place A worth place to look.
Besides, RanganaThittu has 50 crocodiles live in the river and it adds to its flora and fauna. If they are hungy you can become thier finger chips.

A group Photo @ RanganaThittu:

Along with Thiru and co, We took a group photo. Near me sits Ambedkar a man full of energy on the whole trip.

I took a solo snap here. This place is a garden and its very greeny in nature.

Trip to Arunachalam's Reception

Its been an aquaintance and close knit friend ship for 3 and half years with arunachalam.
Nov 4th 2006 was his reception. Had a tough time catching up bus. We had booked an 8:30 P.M APSRTC bus from Bangalore. Point of Boarding was Indranagar. George my another friend from Cognizant, sacrified his food (trusting my natural instinct of travel planning) and ended up screwing himself for 2 hours in drizzling. We got our bus @ 11:00 P.M (after 2 and half hours).
The next part of fun was reaching chennai. We reached Chennai @ 10:00 A.M morning.
Not bad but still very worse. The day was filled with heavy rains.
Evening we went to Arun's Reception with myself dressed in Sherwani (bought for my sister's marriage).
A very nice outfit for me I guess. Let me add some good snaps.
